Vivo has spread a teaser poster that says that they will release their new smartphone, Vivo NEX 2 on December 11, 2018. One of the attractions of the smartphone is having two screens, on the front and rear.
From the latest official rendering that was re-posted by Vivo, we can now better know that the smartphone will arrive in two color choices, namely Blue and Red. Unfortunately, until now Vivo still keeps the innards of the smartphone a secret.
Other speculations are circulating, the main screen of Vivo NEX 2 has a size of 6.59 inches, while the secondary screen pinned to the rear panel has a size of 5.5 inches. On the front screen it is very possible for Vivo to stuff the fingerprint scanner on the screen.
Just like the previous Vivo NEX, Vivo NEX 2 also doesn’t have a front camera. Therefore, we can also see from the rendering shown that Vivo NEX 2 will offer a very high screen-to-body ratio. Moreover, this smartphone will also be packed with an ultra-thin bezel.
The first generation Vivo NEX has a pop-up selfie camera. However, Vivo no longer packs NEX 2 with a front camera like that. Instead, Vivo contains three cameras on the back side by side with the second screen as a viewfinder for selfies.
At the bottom of the second screen there is a typical NEX logo. In addition, Vivo also loads the RGB Lunar Ring which can be lit at the top of the rear screen. Uniquely, some of the Lunar Ring is at the top of the screen, while others are placed below the screen.
Lunar Ring is expected to emit light if NEX 2 receives notifications. In addition, the Lunar Ring will function as an additional flash LED. Unlike the front panel, the top bezel on the back panel is still so thick because it is used to load LED flash and triple camera sensors.
The top edge of the rear panel also seems to be equipped with an additional earpiece. On the right side, Vivo NEX 2 has a Volume and Power (On / Off) button. Looks like there are other buttons on the left side, a 3.5mm audio jack port is placed on the top side and USB-C and the speaker grill on the bottom side.
So, what do you think about the design of Vivo NEX 2? If you have a view on this smartphone, we wait for comments via the column below. Regarding the price, we wait until December 11, 2018 later.
