You can either set up your iPhone to permanently hide your number, meaning that your phone number is not given out for every call you make.
The second method is to hide your number on specific calls only, and this can be done by entering a number before the phone number you want to call. The number you will need for this varies by country.
How do I permanently hide your number on iPhone?
To permanently hide your phone number model when making a call, you will need to change the settings on your iPhone.
This can be done by going to Settings app on your iPhone, then select phonethen Show My Caller ID, select Switch to Offset and your number won’t be hidden on every phone call you make on your iPhone.
How do I temporarily hide your number on iPhone?
This can be done for every phone call you make, if you are in the US you need to put #31# in front of the phone number. For example, if you want to call Apple in the US using the phone number 800-692-7753 Then you will need to dial #31# 800-692-7753.
The number you need to put in front of the UK phone number is a little different. You need to call 141 followed by the phone number. So if you are calling Apple in the UK on the phone number 0800 048 0408, you need to deal with 0408 141080048.
This is a very simple and useful feature when you want to make a call without giving out your phone number. I’ve used this a few times when contacting companies that I wanted to ask for some details about things without them calling me back.
