Xiaomi finally released the new duo of the successor to the Mi A1. It’s the Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite, both of these smartphones are equipped with qualified innards for the middle class and are still loyal to carry the pure Android 8.1 operating system, aka Android One.
Both the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite are supported by Qualcomm’s chipsets, the Snapdragon 660 AIE with Adreno 512 and Snapdragon 625 graphics processors paired with Adreno 506. Then for the combination of RAM and internal memory in the Mi A2 it is 4 GB + 64 GB. While the Mi A2 Lite has two versions, namely 3 GB + 32 GB and 4 GB + 64 GB.
On the side of the screen, both of them have carried the full 18: 9 display design with FHD + resolution. The screen measures 5.99 inches 1080 x 2160 pixels for the Mi A2 and 5.84 inches 1080 x 2280 pixels for the Mi A2 Lite. Especially for the Mi A2 Lite series, users will find a notch at the top of the screen.
Turning to the photography sector, Xiaomi embed three camera modules on both of its newest smartphones, two behind and one in front. For the Mi A2 series, the camera configuration is 20 MP f / 1.75 sensor Sony IMX376 + 12 MP f / 1.75 sensor Sony IMX486 and Sony IMX376 20 MP selfie camera sensor. Then for the Mi A2 Lite series is 12 MP + 5 MP and a secondary camera with 5 MP resolution.
As an Android One, Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite device running the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system that already supports Google’s Project Treble. That way, the software update process can run faster than other Android devices. Then in terms of security is also more secure, because Google will provide a security patch update every month.
