Long time no longer heard, Wiko again introduced two new smartphones to Indonesia. Present with the name Tommy3 and Tommy3 Plus, both of them carry a full view screen design and are equipped with Virtual SIM Card technology. What is that?
“Wiko is the first product in Indonesia to use virtual SIM technology. Here buyers get internet access without a SIM card with applications that are already embedded in it, “said Taufik Syahbuddin as CEO of Wiko Indonesia.
In collaboration with SIMO Skyroam, users can connect to the internet without the need for a SIM card and WiFi. The Tommy3 series is expected to get the best signal in all regions, even throughout the world.
The SIMO Skyroam application has been installed directly on the Wiko smartphone. This technology allows the Tommy3 series to connect to the internet by searching for the most stable 4G network in the place. Another benefit, consumers will get a free quota from Skyroam up to 6 GB for 6 months.
For its specifications, Wiko Tommy3 carries the Mediatek MT6739 Quad-core 1.3 GHz chipset with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM. OS is Android Oreo GO, 2,500 mAh battery, and 8 MP rear camera and 5 MP front. As for the Tommy3 Plus series, it has 2 GB RAM, 2,900 mAh battery, Android 8.1 Oreo operating system and 13 MP + 5 MP camera.
In Indonesia, Tommy3 sells for Rp999 thousand, while for Tommy3 Plus the price is Rp1,499,000. But specifically for flash sale in collaboration with Tokopedia on November 1-3, the price was lowered to Rp1,299,000.
Wiko Mobile Indonesia also provides a 120 day replacement guarantee if the smartphone has problems. “As long as 4 months since according to the date stated in the purchase note, consumers will get a replacement unit in the event of damage that is not a misuse,” Taufik concluded.
