1/ Cloudflare Billing shipped a lot recently. The goal: make it easier to understand what you’re paying for before the invoice arrives, make payments reliable, and make Billing feel modern and clear.
We put a fresh coat of paint across Billing and backed it with more reliable systems.
2/ Usage visibility + budget alerts:
If you're on a self-serve plan, you now get a Billable Usage dashboard with daily cost breakdowns, per-product usage, and invoice-aligned data. Budget Alerts let you set dollar thresholds and get notified before month-end surprises.
3/ Modern checkout:
We’ve been moving products onto a modern checkout flow with clear plan summaries and payment methods you expect: cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Stripe Link, Instant Bank Payments, and PayPal.
4/ More resilient renewals:
If your primary payment method fails, backup payment method retry helps keep your services active. Fewer accidental downgrades, fewer urgent billing issues, and a smoother renewal experience.
5/ Clearer invoices and account management:
Billing settings and invoices are getting cleaner too: grouped subscriptions, clearer invoice lists, 15 new invoice languages, better payment method management, and invoice line items with useful context like domain names.
6/ Docs matter too:
We also revamped the Billing docs, including a clearer explanation of how Cloudflare Billing works under the hood: https://lnkd.in/eXUfWMKu
