Apple has made a major overhaul of the iPhone’s sign out page on its website. The new design features larger images, faster access to help with shopping, and more. There is also a greater focus on trading in other devices as well.
The previous design of the iPhone sign out process featured a two-column display with still images, configuration options on the left, and configuration options on the right. This new design puts more emphasis on big pictures and more refined experiences for things like choosing a smartphone to replace.
This new design still relies on two separate image columns and configuration options. However, the pictures are much larger. This is a nice change especially when looking at the different color options for the iPhone.
As you work your way through the configuration process, you’ll see new videos from Apple employees, including a clip explaining how to choose your storage configuration. There is also a fixed option at the bottom right to instantly open a conversation with an Apple Store employee.
One of the biggest changes in this redesign is that there is a greater focus on trade-offs. After configuring your iPhone, you will be asked if you have a device to replace. There is a new video explaining the replacement process and a full screen interface to check the values.
Other changes include new comparison details for different iPhone models, updated FAQ, shipping information at the top of the web page, and more. You can check out all the changes for yourself here.
As of now, this new payment process is only available on iPhone purchases. This includes the flagship iPhone 13 lineup as well as older models like the iPhone 12.
