Huawei has just launched the deployment of the EMUI 10 update on the Honor 10 Lite and on the Huawei Y9 Prime. The two mid-range smartphones will therefore soon be upgraded to Android 10 despite sanctions from the United States government. We will explain how to install the firmware as soon as possible.
Huawei is currently deploying the EMUI 10 update on the Honor 10 Lite and the Y9 Prime in China, report our colleagues from Huawei Central. The stable version of the firmware should land on the European continent, including France, in the coming weeks. Unsurprisingly, the first models to receive the update run on EMUI 9.1 .
How to install the EMUI 10 update on your smartphone?
As announced, the update will soon appear on your phone. Before launching the installation, make sure that your smartphone is connected to a Wifi network and that it still has at least 50% of remaining autonomy. Deprived of an Android license and banned from the American market since May 2019, Huawei has yet another reprieve to deploy Android 10 on all smartphones in its catalog and that of its subsidiary Honor. The manufacturer therefore has until February 18 to offer the firmware on all compatible devices.
With this in mind, Huawei has been pressing the accelerator for a few months. As a reminder, the EMUI 10 update has already been installed by 1 million smartphones worldwide . 33 different phone models, including the P30, Mate 20 and even the Honor 20, have already been able to install Android 10.
