In a guide that lays out five best practices for creating GS1 digital link URIs for your company, it is recommended: use a branded internet domain, use subdomains, utilize redirects, keep it short and include information that supports business processes.
In the guide, each best practice is illustrated by pointing out the technical aspects and the benefits gained by companies that have adopted these practices. In addition to the guidelines, GS1 Italy has added three checklists – one for manufacturers, one for retailers and one for solution providers – for the planning and development of 2D pilot projects, retrospectively to be reviewed Technical elements and stakeholders provided specific instructions and recommendations.
