How much does each model have?

Curious about how much RAM Apple has put into its iPhones over the years or how much memory your current iPhone has? While the company doesn’t share the information publicly, details of the memory appear in disassemblies and from other sources such as Apple’s supply chain. Read on to take a look at the full iPhone RAM list to find out how much memory comes with each iPhone model.

Apple does not publish or place any emphasis on iPhone RAM for a number of reasons. One of the biggest of these is iPhone performance that outperforms the competition like Android phones that have less RAM. Apple is able to do this because it makes both hardware and software and fine-tunes its hardware to run as efficiently and powerfully as possible.

So in the big picture, Apple is focusing on what its iPhones can do rather than what specs they run.

One example was in 2019 when the iPhone 11 Pro Max with 4GB of RAM outperformed the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ with 12GB of RAM in a speed test. That’s right, the close integration of iPhone and iOS devices made more than 8GB of memory a difference. The same is usually true for iPads and Macs versus Android tablets and PCs as well.

Before you look, can you guess how much RAM the original iPhone had? 😁
