If you’ve been wondering how to edit iPhone passwords, you’ll be glad to know that Apple offers an easy way to delete, edit, and manage any passwords you may have saved to automatically populate website logins and more on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod. There are two quick ways to view, edit, delete or create new passwords on your iOS devices. The first method is to view your passwords via “SettingsAvailable on both new and old iPhones.
If you’re running iOS 13 or earlier:
1. Open a file Settings app on your iPhone
2. Open a file Passwords and accounts The iOS13 section on iOS14 is simply named passwords
3. Then select The site and the application passwords
4. iOS will then prompt you with Touch, Face ID, or a passcode Verify your identity
Once you have access to your list of passwords, you can either scroll through it or search for a specific website, username, or app using the search box at the top of this screen. To view the password details saved on your iPhone, simply tap on an entry and its details will be revealed. Here you can edit a username, password or website and also delete the entire entry from the list of saved passwords.
Edit iPhone passwords
Apple uses a file iCloud Keychain Technology to help keep passwords and other secure information synced and updated across all your iOS and macOS devices: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac. If you want to turn on iCloud Keychain on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and you haven’t already, follow the instructions below:
1. Again, go to Settings
2. Click on your account name ‘s Avatar Banner
3. Select iCloud
4. Press Key chain Option if you’re running iOS 13 or later. Note that two-factor authentication is required for iCloud Keychain to work. If you haven’t already set this app on your device, Apple will prompt you to do so.

Keychain is only available on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, and Mac devices that support two-factor authentication running iOS 8.4.1 and later or OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 on Mac.

Since the release of iOS 13, Apple has included a new feature that alerts you if you use the same password more than once. Small triangle with an exclamation point “!” inside. This will alert you to this and recommend that you choose something new instead of reusing the same password over and over again.
In iOS 14, Apple increased its password security and will now alert you if any of your passwords have been used in a data breach. If it finds any unsafe logins, it will notify you to change them and correct the vulnerability.
