Since the release of developer previews and beta versions of Android 13, we have been excited to get the Samsung One UI build of Android 13. Now, One UI 5.0 beta is publicly available. This guide will show you how to sign up for it and install it on your device.
In the past couple of years, Samsung has really upped its game in terms of evaluating Android and introducing its One UI variant in an incredible time. Overall, Samsung retains much of the same functionality we see in Android and changes some features here and there to reflect the feel of a Galaxy device. Samsung does a great job of reintroducing Android into an easy-to-use package that works very well.
Now, Samsung is ready to release the One UI 5 beta for those who want to play it before the official release. As always, we do not explicitly recommend installing a trial version on your everyday device, as an unknown number of issues could get their heads up and cause problems for you. However, if you want to subscribe and install One UI 5 beta from Samsung, it is very easy to do.
How to register and install One UI 5 beta
Samsung makes it incredibly easy to install a trial version of One UI, giving you the tools you need with the Samsung Members app from the Galaxy Store. This app must be installed and you must sign in with your Samsung account. Once you do that, follow these steps:
- In the Samsung Members appAnd the Swipe through the top banner And find the card that reads One UI beta software. Click on it.
- Faucet Register.
- Agree to the terms listed by registering enroll, enroll and then agree.
- NB: A pop-up may appear informing you that you are registered.
- Head to Settings via Scroll down once and tapping on a file gear settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap system update.
- Faucet Download and install.
- Your device will start downloading One UI 5 beta.
Once you start installing One UI 5 beta, your Galaxy device will go through the installation process. This may take 5 to 15 minutes. Your Samsung device will be unusable for some time and then boot up with an optimization period to continue. Once your phone has finished updating, you should be ready to explore the all-new beta build of One UI 5 based on Android 13.
What are the supported devices?
At the moment, only two devices are supported. Currently, Samsung is limiting the One UI 5 beta to the S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra. Samsung plans to bring the beta version to more devices on the way, including the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
Where can I use the One UI 5 beta?
Samsung is slowly rolling out this new beta to users, starting in Germany. Soon after availability hit those regions, some users in the US started seeing the new OS appear directly in the Samsung Members app.
Ultimately, the company plans to bring the beta to these countries:
- China
- India
- Poland
- South Korea
- United kingdom
