How to watch Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk match live in the UK: The World Heavyweight Boxing Championship is on the line in the AJ vs Usyk rematch. Here’s how to watch the big fight live.
Last time, Ukrainian Champion Oleksandr Usyk gave his British counterpart Anthony Joshua a boxing lesson by unanimous points splitting to win AJ’s IBF, WBA (Super) and WBO Heavyweight Championships.
The confrontation at Tottenham Hotspur last September was a rude awakening for the defending champion, who lost the belts by scores 117-112, 116-112 and 115-113 in what was a huge surprise.
Joshua thinks the rematch will be different, but dominant Usyek has a beleaguered country behind him as he looks to retain the title at the event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia this weekend. During Friday’s welterweight, the champ clocked at 221.5 pounds from the lightweight, while AJ jumped the scales at 244.4 pounds. AJ says he’s ready for 12 rounds.
Usyk arrives in Saudi Arabia after spending time fighting in the Ukraine war zone, so he’s unlikely to be too staggered as he seeks to hold on to his heavyweight belts, en route to an eventual unification bout. Usyk is the 8/15 favorite with the bookmakers, while the Brit is the second favorite with the odds makers at 7/4
Here’s everything you need to know about watching the big fight on the best TV, best smartphone, and best laptop you have to offer.
