Netflix is testing player scores – Geeky Gadgets

Netflix is testing gamertag handles that users can create and display publicly when playing its collection of mobile games. This feature should allow members to recognize other users and invite them to play games based on their handles, and also allow them to see their rank on the leaderboards.

Netflix gives you the option to create and manage the game handle associated with your Netflix profile in both games. Just like creating your own player ID, your game handle must be unique, which Netflix will automatically verify.

You can use game handles when inviting other members and playing with them. It will also show you “your place in the leaderboards” and it looks like you will be able to check when some users are online or offline. Creates a more social experience within games.

Netflix began rolling out game handles on certain titles last month, including Into the Breach, Bowling Ballers, and Heads Up! and Mahjong Solitaire. We don’t know when Netflix will roll out game handles on more of its games.

“We are always looking to improve our members’ experience with the service, and are exploring different features to enrich the Netflix gaming experience on mobile devices,” Hidaka added. “We don’t have anything else to share at the moment.”
