- Rumor has it that Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE may be equipped with Exynos 2400 chipset
- Exynos 2400 also appears in some regional versions of Galaxy S24
- Samsung has yet to confirm the existence of the Z Flip FE and its specifications.
The rumored Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE may feature the same chipset as some of the company’s flagship Galaxy S24 series models.
New information from well-known leaker Jukanlosreve suggests that the Samsung Exynos 2400 may be the chipset used in the cheaper Z Flip model that the company has been teasing for a long time. This will be the same processor used in the Galaxy S24 series, distributed across much of Europe and Asia.
In North America, the Galaxy S24 comes with the Galaxy Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, considered one of the best Android chipsets on the market.
Currently, Samsung’s foldable product line only uses Snapdragon chipsets, a choice that is reflected in the high price and premium positioning of these devices. In fact, both the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 are among the best foldable phones in our rankings, as well as one of the best Samsung smartphones.
As for why the rumored Z Flip FE will use an Exynos chipset, it may be because the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is too expensive for a low-end foldable device, or it may be easier for Samsung to obtain the supply of Exynos chips.
Another hypothesis is that this choice is part of an Apple-like strategy to reduce reliance on third-party chipset manufacturers. According to Android Police, Jukanlosreve also said that the future Z Flip 7 may use the Exynos chipset, possibly an updated Exynos 2500 version.

People have been talking about cheaper Galaxy Z Flip models for months, and new rumors recently emerged about a potential expansion of Samsung’s foldable phone lineup. Back in May, we reported that the cheaper, booklet-style version of the Galaxy Z Fold might be canceled, but a possible Galaxy Z Flip FE was still under consideration.
Recently, rumors have been circulating about the launch of a Z Flip FE model, which may be launched alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7 or even a new tri-fold Galaxy device. However, there is no official information about the release date yet.
With a starting price of just over 1,000 euros, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is currently the cheapest Samsung foldable phone and would be an ideal candidate for a more accessible version, although its price is not expected to be significantly lower than traditional standards. In fact, smartphone makers tend to charge premium prices for the innovation and sophistication of foldable devices, so even the cheaper Galaxy Z Flip is likely to cost as much as, or even more than, traditional flagships.
For now, these are all speculations based on unconfirmed rumors, so there’s no official statement from Samsung yet. For the latest official updates, we invite you to check out our section dedicated to Samsung phones, we will publish news as soon as it becomes available.
