OnePlus is feeding in more information about the upcoming OnePlus 10T, including the ability to fully recharge the phone in less than 20 minutes.
The OnePlus 10T, which will launch later this week at the August 3 event, will benefit from 150W wired charging. The company calls it 150W SUPERVOOC Endurance Edition and it’s the fastest wired charging ever included in a phone, matching the technology available in India’s only OnePlus 10R.
The battery itself is 4800 mAh which means you can charge it from one percent to a full charge in 19 minutes, or, as the company says, a full day’s power in ten minutes.
OnePlus has already reached the point where the phone has bypassed the electrical infrastructure in the United States. The phone will only be able to support 125W in the US with most outlets going up to 120V. This only makes a difference for 1 minute, keeping you from 1-100% in 20 minutes.
Since the UK has 230V power outlets, the British will be able to reach top speeds of 150W. The phone itself comes with a 160W USB-C charger, which can also be used to quickly replenish your laptop, tablet, and Nintendo Switch.
In a blog post, OnePlus went into more details about the technology that ensures that the large capacity battery is safely and quickly regenerated.
Battery Health Engine is designed to extend life and preserve capacity. It says the Smart Battery Health and Battery Healing algorithm are designed to ensure that after 4 years of recharging, your battery capacity will still be 80%. The healing technology is designed to “continuously repair the electrodes during charging cycles”.
In terms of safety, the OnePlus 10T has two 75W charging pumps which means there is improved efficiency and heat reduction. There is also trickle charging technology to ensure that the last 10% of the charge is conducted efficiently by adjusting the current and voltage.
