The best Samsung Smart TVs are shaping up as a one-stop shop for all your cloud gaming needs. Now Amazon Luna has joined the Gaming Hub.
The feature was launched at the end of June under the title of the first Xbox app for TVs. It also bundles Google Stadia and Nvidia GeForce Now, along with neighboring services like Twitch, YouTube, and Spotify.
Now that Amazon Luna has completed the collection, Samsung says there are over 1,000 games available via the Gaming Hub without having to download and store them on your collection. You can also use one controller for each of them.
Luna itself offers 250 games with more being added to Prime members every month. This month’s roster includes Control Ultimate Edition, Myst, Garfield Kart, and Steel Assault. However, it is possible to add more titles with Luna Plus and additional channel subscriptions. The retro channel includes, for example, games like Street Fighter II, Pong, and Castlevania Collection.
“By collaborating with Samsung, we offer our growing selection of games and unlimited play channels including Retro Channel, Jackbox Channel and Prime Gaming Channel that offer Amazon Prime members a rotating selection of games to play for free. It’s a winning combination that provides More value and options for Samsung TV owners and gamers 2022.”
You will need a high definition TV in order to jump on board. The 2022 Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K, QLEDs, and 2022 Smart Monitor Series all cost a pretty penny. It’s made possible by some technical leaps within Samsung’s 2022 range of displays, which offer “faster decoding and improved buffer control technology that reduces input lag by more than 30 percent on average over previous models.”
