Sony has announced that it is raising the price of its PlayStation 5 in a number of countries, including Europe, the United Kingdom, China, Japan, and others.

The price has gone up by £30 in the UK and by €50 in Europe, you can see a full list of increases in each country below.

The global economic environment is a challenge that many of you around the world will undoubtedly face. We are seeing high global inflation rates, as well as currency opposite trends, which are affecting consumers and creating stress in many industries. Based on these challenging economic conditions, SIE has made the difficult decision to increase the Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of PlayStation 5 in select markets across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Asia Pacific (APAC), and Latin America (LATAM), as well as Canada. There will be no price increase in the US.
