Apple delays iPadOS 16 launch until October
Apple plans to delay the release of iPadOS 16 until October, instead of releasing the update in the usual September timeframe, according to a report from BloombergMark Gorman.
iOS 16 and watchOS 9 are still expected to be released in September, with iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura releasing in October.
Gurman said delaying the release of iPadOS 16 would allow Apple to devote more engineering resources to finishing iOS 16 development, and would give Apple more time to improve the new multitasking Stage Manager feature in iPadOS 16, which has received some criticism.
iPhone 14 Pro Always On ScreenTips may be in Xcode 14
Rumor has it that upcoming iPhone 14 Pro models will feature an always-on display, similar to the Apple Watch, and hints of what that always-on display might look like might be hiding in plain sight in the latest beta build of Apple’s Xcode developer tool.
The always-on screen will allow users to view the time, date, number of unread notifications, and new iOS 16 lock screen widgets without having to tap to wake the screen.

Apple is expected to update the 10.2-inch iPad later this year, and newly leaked renders offer a look at what to expect from the device.
According to renders shared by MySmartPrice, the 10th generation iPad could feature a design that is closer to that of the latest iPad mini, including flat bezels and a prominent rear camera. The report also repeated rumors of a larger screen, USB-C port, 5G chip, and A14 chip.
Apple acknowledges studio monitor speaker issues, releases software update
In an internal memo to Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers, obtained by Mac rumorsHowever, Apple has acknowledged that some customers may experience sound-related issues with the Studio Display speakers, including unexpected and sudden sound, high-speed audio playback, distorted sound quality, and choppy playback.
Shortly after the memo was sent, Apple released a new update to Studio Display that appears to address speaker issues.
Apple adds eight more Macs to its legacy product list
Apple this week updated its legacy product list with eight MacBook models, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and iMac released in 2015 and 2016.
Notably, the first MacBook Pro models with Touch Bar are now labeled obsolete. Apple first introduced the Touch Bar in October 2016 as part of a complete redesign of the MacBook Pro, but Apple has since dropped the feature on all models except the 13-inch MacBook Pro.
YouTubers Test Camera Continuity Feature in macOS Ventura with Belkin Mount
One of the new features that comes with macOS Ventura and iOS 16 is Continuity Camera, which allows the iPhone to be used as a webcam for the Mac.
Belkin designed the MagSafe-enabled continuous camera mount that allows the iPhone to be perfectly positioned on a Mac for use as a webcam, and while the mount hasn’t been released yet, several YouTubers have been able to test it out to give us an idea of how it works.
