Apple plans to hold an iPhone 14 event on September 7
We are only a few weeks away from Apple’s annual iPhone event, scheduled for Wednesday, September 7 this year, according to a report from Apple. BloombergMark Gorman.
iPhone events are often held on Tuesdays, but Monday, September 5 is the Labor Day holiday in the US, so Apple will likely push the event to Wednesday to provide a one-day buffer. Wednesday’s iPhone events have occurred four times in the past.
Apple is expected to reveal the iPhone 14, Apple Watch Series 8, and more with a pre-recorded event video.

iOS 16 Beta 6 Released With Changes To The New Battery Icon In Low Power Mode
Apple this week released the sixth beta version of iOS 16. The latest beta mainly includes bug fixes and other improvements under the hood, but it makes a noticeable change to the new battery percentage icon while activating Low Power Mode on your iPhone.
Apple also released iOS 15.6.1, iPadOS 15.6.1 and macOS 12.5.1 with important security fixes for WebKit and kernel vulnerabilities. Apple said it is aware of a report that the vulnerabilities may have been actively exploited, so an update is recommended.
The System Settings app in macOS Ventura Beta is still riddled with UI issues
Apple’s redesigned System Settings app in macOS Ventura, which replaces System Preferences on macOS Monterey and earlier, still has many user interface issues even in recent betas.
As developer Niki Tonsky noted on Twitter, the System Settings app has inconsistent use and behavior of basic UI elements such as drop-down menus and buttons, misaligned text and low-sized windows, menu titles cut by menu windows, misplaced content, and more .
macOS Ventura is still in beta, so the System Settings app may see improvements by the time the update is released later this year.
