But going into Stage 4, which starts on May 1st, 2020 using Black Widow and finishes November 5th, 2021 with Thor 4, we understand there will not be any new Avengers movies (of note, we won’t have any fresh Guardians or even Spider-Man movies in Stage 4). Obviously this is not the end of the Avengers and it is also not the end of epic films that include all of our favourite heroes in the MCU.

Avengers is Marvel’s most valuable franchise, the glue which holds the whole MCU together. Of course, Avengerswouldn’t be possible without all of the individual stories that introduce new personalities and progress their arcs. But you’d be a lot less interested in watching a Thor sequel, or a movie that introduces a brand new hero (or group of heroes) in cinemas on launch day without knowing in the back of your mind that it will all come together down the road. The same holds for Shang-Chi or The Eternals, movies that I need to see mainly since they’re part of a far bigger tapestry of adventures.

Marvel’s ambitious strategy all became clear with the initial Avengers film, though it was many years after it truly delivered on its promise. Infinity War and Endgame are both most important events of the MCU so much, and they are even more enjoyable if you have seen all of the other standalone movies that preceded them.

Endgame regrettably also marks the ending of an age, with various heroes having been retired. The listing includes Iron Man and Black Widow, who died, but also Captain America, who retired to another deadline. It is time to reconstruct the Avengers and get brand new team members to deal with the forthcoming threats. At precisely the same time, Marvel might not try to replicate Endgame just, when it comes to building up the story.

“I understand nothing. I literally know nothing,” McFeely mentioned during the interview at the end of the post, a dialogue that happened before Marvel’s Kevin Feige unveiled each of the forthcoming Stage 4 names. There is all these little rumory items, but I don’t know them.”

“All I know is Phase 4 can go in far more instructions than any of the preceding three phases,” Markus said. “Because of, one, simply due to the doors that three successful phases have opened. Now they have cosmic Marvel available; they have Doctor Strange cosmic Marvel accessible.

He added,”Plus if you throw in the Disney+ streaming item… I think that it’s going to be a phase that’s shaped differently than the previous ones. Something which can distribute in additional directions at once. It’s almost inevitable when you keep making these items, and they’re all linked, it cannot be on a single straight line, or you are gonna get incredibly repetitive after a while. So it has to spread.”

The two writers are involved with the MCU for a couple of years now, working on the last two Captain America and Avengers movies, but they do not have any very clear insight as to what will occur next. But reading between the lines here, it becomes absolutely clear that Marvel will continue to sprinkle the same magic in the upcoming MCU movies. They will all be connected in a variety of ways to a point at which an Avengers 5 movie — whether it is Young Avengers or Dark Avengers– will probably be inevitable.

At precisely the same time, given how thingswere left off after Endgame,”you can’t increase the stakes,” at the moment, as Markus explained while talking about the hero departures in the MCU later Endgame. What the writer was basically saying is that it is time for a breath of fresh air in the MCU, before moving on to other stories that are amalgamated. That includes both brand new heroes, and fresh crews to bring them to life.

Not to mention Captain Marvel two , Black Panther two , also Guardians 3 were all teased for Phase 5, a stage that will also include a picture of Blade. To put it differently, we are about to find a brand new mix of super-powered individuals who are more than likely to cross paths with each other several years later on. We only need to wait.
