The Xiaomi 12 Lite is official for international markets, offering an affordable price, high-resolution camera, and more.
For around $400 in international markets, the Xiaomi 12 Lite is based on a Snapdragon 778G processor paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, depending on the variant. It also includes 128GB or 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite has a 6.55-inch FHD AMOLED display, with a peak brightness of 950 nits, support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and a 120Hz refresh rate. There is also a fingerprint sensor in the screen.
Perhaps one of the most interesting additions to the price is the camera array, with a 108MP primary camera using the Samsung HM2 sensor. There’s an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera that supports this, with a 32-megapixel selfie camera in a center hole on the front.
Judging by the spec sheet version, a 4,300mAh battery with 67W fast charging should outshine the phone in barely 40 minutes. Xiaomi says:
The 4,300mAh battery in the Xiaomi 12 Lite easily supports a full day of use, while the 67W turbo charges up to 100% of the battery in just 41 minutes to keep you on the go.² As for extending the phone’s battery life Smart Long-Term Smart Charging Algorithm of Xiaomi – Xiaomi AdaptiveCharge, learns the users’ night-time charging patterns to optimize the overnight charging strategy, allowing the device to be fully charged before the user wakes up.
Although this device wouldn’t really stand up to something more powerful like the Xiaomi 12S series, it certainly looks like a great value for its price. Sales of the Xiaomi 12 Lite today start at $399 for the 6GB/128GB model, $449 for the 8GB/128GB model, and $499 for the 8GB/128GB version.
