Google first introduced the Pixel 6a during I/O 2022 in May. The phone will finally be available for purchase starting this month, with pre-orders starting today. Verizon has announced that it will offer the ultra-wideband-compatible phone on its network starting July 28, with pre-orders beginning today.
New Verizon subscribers will be happy to know that the wireless carrier is cutting $499.99 off the smartphone price when they activate a new smartphone line on 5G Start, 5G Do More, 5G Play, or 5G Get More Unlimited. You read that right, the phone will be completely free, with the discount applied as a monthly credit every month over the course of 36 months. Those already in Verizon can get $100 off for being on 5G Start, 5G Do More, 5G Play, or 5G Get More Unlimited. This discount will also be issued as a monthly credit over a period of 36 months.
